85-Year-Old Michigan Great Grandmother Loves to Water Ski

Age is literally just a number for Nancy Mayes.

Nancy has spent every summer for the last 60 years at her family's cabin in Benzie County, just southwest of Traverse City on the shores of Lake Michigan.

Now, she's 85, but that hasn't stopped her from being out on the water. She has six kids, almost two dozen grandchildren, and half a dozen great-grandchildren. They key to her youthful activities, she says, is ignoring your body and listening to your mind.

Nancy has no plans on stopping and she encourages others to do the same - keep doing whatever it is that you like to do, just know that you're going to be a little slower.

FYI, her skis are over 50 years old and she doesn't plan on replacing them.
