5th Grader Plays for Vet After Memorial Day Parade is Canceled – The Good News [VIDEO]
This kid should toot his own horn. Nicholas DeGregorio was super excited to play his trumpet in the Memorial Day parade with his school band...until it was canceled because of rain. When he and his family got there, a woman asked him if the parade was still happening. Her father, disabled WWII veteran Chris Iannacone, would be there soon and would be very disappointed.
So Nicholas grabbed his trumpet and played for the man. “He was thrilled and Nicholas was thrilled as well,” his mom wrote on Facebook. “To have the opportunity to play for him and brighten his morning. Behind every cloud is a silver lining.”
