A little Canadian restaurant that was struggling to keep its doors open is now a hit, thanks to social media.

69-year-old John McMillan, a Scottish immigrant, opened a restaurant in Alberta called Whitbie's Fish & Chips. He told the Global News that it had always been his dream to open a fish & chips restaurant, but his business has been struggling so badly that he hasn't been able to pay himself in months.

About a week ago, a man named Colin Ross (who has a marketing background...and a little bit hungover that day) came into the restaurant and was heartbroken at what he saw, so he Facebooked about it.

Less than three days later, this was the scene at Whitbie's.

He's now handling the biggest crowds that his restaurant has ever seen, and we're happy for him! :)
