She suffered first and second degree burns after pouring a cup of hot coffee on herself when she was just 14-months-old.

Tatyana Adames and her parents stopped at a Denny's in New York when she was 14-months-old. A waitress put a cup of coffee down in front of her, which she spilled on herself. She suffered first and second degree burns, and pieces of her skin came off when her clothes were removed. She spent two weeks in a hospital, and now has a severe skin reaction to heat.

Tatyana and her family won $500,000 from Denny's. That particular restaurant is now closed. Denny's handbook states that waitresses should "never set hot items directly in front of a child." Experts estimate that the lifetime cost of her medical care could top $340,000. You can read the full story HERE.
