A $5 raffle ticket could put you and your guest 552 feet above the Straights of Mackinac, with one of the best views on the Great Lakes...and yes, there's an elevator.

The Great Lakes Lighthouse Keepers Association is holding a raffle that will give the winner and a guest the very rare opportunity of standing on top of the mighty Mackinac Bridge. They will travel in an elevator located in a bridge tower, climb a short flight of stairs in the tower's interior and then walk out on to a viewing deck that is 552 feet above the water and offers a panoramic view of Mackinaw Island, the Straights and the Upper Peninsula.

This really is a chance of a lifetime. The Mackinac Bridge Authority takes applications from nonprofit organizations just once a year for this opportunity to raise funds.

Proceeds from the sale of these raffle tickets will go to the Great Lakes Lighthouse Keepers Association and its' efforts to restore and preserve lighthouses along the shores of the Great Lakes.

Tickets are just $5 each or five for $20. The drawing will take place in Mackinac City on July 31.
You do not have to be present to win.To purchase tickets, call the GLLKA at 231-436-5580.

Don't wait to long. Almost 2,000 of the 5,000 raffle tickets have been sold already.
