Temar Boggs and his friends could have done nothing, but instead he and his friends formed a search party as soon as they heard a neighborhood girl had been abducted. He had a gut feeling he might be able to help, and thanks to that instinct and the 15-year old's quick action, the girl was safely returned to her family. (video interview below)

During the search, Boggs spotted the girl in the passenger seat of a car. He followed the car on his bike, and although the neighborhood is somewhat of a maze, he knows it well. Boggs said the driver became uncomfortable that he was being followed, stopped, and pushed the girl out of the car. Although he knows he did something special, he doesn't see himself as a hero.

"I'm just a normal person who did a thing that anybody else would do," he said.

His mother, Tamika Boggs, told Lancaster Online that she's proud of her son.

"You just hope you raise your child the right way. ... He's learning what I tell him, to help others," she said.
